Gifts for staff at Christmas

Choose useful, well-made items: insulated mugs and bottles, knit beanies or scarves, and considered gift sets with winter essentials. Neutral colours and discreet logos increase year-round appeal. Put the festive sentiment on a card or sleeve rather than the product, so the gift remains appropriate after December and avoids feeling disposable.

Start with one per employee and add a small buffer for new starters, contractors and colleagues on different sites. Include remote staff in your count and keep a few spares for last-minute recognition. A simple tiering plan (for example, leadership or long service) helps manage expectations while keeping fulfilment straightforward across locations.

Prioritise subtle methods and placements: laser engraving on stainless steel drinkware, tonal embroidery on knitwear, or a small single-colour mark. Keep any festive graphics on packaging, belly bands or an insert card. Where appropriate, personalisation such as names can elevate perceived value without overwhelming the core brand.

Favour durable items designed for long use, such as stainless steel drinkware, and apparel made from organic or recycled yarns. Look for FSC-certified gift boxes, minimal plastics and refillable or recyclable components. Reducing waste matters: avoid flimsy novelties and choose practical pieces colleagues will keep well beyond the festive period.
